    We can let the child stand in the center of the carrousel holding the magnetometer. If I hold the bar magnet, and the electrically charged ball standing on the on the adge of the carrousel, the magnetic field detected at the magnetometer can be analoged as the spin dipole contribution and orbit contribution. If can break the bar magnet into two unequal pieces and let place them near by the child, there will be the Fermi contact contribution.
