Normally, the double slit experiment would yield a wave-like interference pattern. However, if we observe the electrons going through the slits and mark which slit they went through, we would see a typical pattern typical for particles, as explained in the YouTube video.

This happens because the intensity I is the probability of Amplitude A. In this case, since we mark the slit each electron goes through, we only have one amplitude A and no A_1 and A_2, which does not give us an interference pattern.
