If you put an sensor which can measure which slit is taken by each electron, then the wavefunction of the electron collapses by this extra observation. The electron chooses ‘explicitly’ which of the two splits it goes through; the wavefunction does no longer contain a superposition after the observation. The resulting pattern will be two lines on the screen behind the two splits. The process of measuring which slit the electron goes to is like measuring the state of a quantum system and thus we have to follow the procedure as explained in the first part of the video.
