    The electron is a quantum particle which means that he may be describe as a wave or as a particle (it’s the duality particle-wave).
    So in normal condition if you perform the double split experiment in with electron, then you will observe an interference pattern.

    But if you put an extra sensor to mesure what path, the electro have taken, then you will only observe two bands of electron on the screen (facing the two splits) : the electron will act like classic matter.

    If the position of the particle in known, then that’s means that its state is a position eigenstate and then it can’t be a momentum eigenstate.
