    1) Do an EPR measurement of the sample, using a fixed radio frequency and a variable external field. This gives an absorption spectrum
    2) From the external field strength at which the absorption peaks are seen, determine the g factor
    3) Repeat this for a wide range of orientations of the external field
    4) Put all the calulated g factors in a graph, wrt the orientation of the external field
