    If we measure the hyperfine splitting for the first isotope, we get a value for B_J / J, since a = µ B_J / I J, and µ and I are known. For the second isotope, B_J / J will be the same, since nothing changes for the electron cloud, the only difference is in the nucleus. Hence, by measuring a for this isotope, we can find the magnetic moment by: µ_2 = I_2 / I_1 a_2/a_1 µ_1 .
