    Since the value of a is proportional to the dipole moment μ and the magnetic field B. Assuming the field is identical because it changes very minimally between isotopes, and given that I and J are unchanged between different isotopes, the ratio between the different values of a is proportional to the ratio between the dipole moments μ. So μ2 = μ1 * a2/a1
