An atom is very much like a planetary model but what differs is that the elctron doesn’t move itself in a fixed direction. Instead, it’s a Kung Fu master who can do bilocation. He can spread himself in a sphere with a certain radius around the nucleus. All the shadows together make him as a whole electron. This certain radius is called Bohr radius.
