    The average source-absorber distance would be a lot larger, therefore less gamma reaches the observer. Using a train at a velocity would also require a lot of space and a certain mechanism to change the velocity accurately. To make this idea feasible is perhaps with a gas source. Creating a vacuum in the direction of the observer through acceleration.
