    If we have a perfectly spherical nucleus, with non-zero radius and an electron cloud that does not enter the nuclear volume, are their still energy corrections due to the finite size of the nucleus?

    Yes, I believe there still is the Bohr-Weiskopf effect which requires that the nucleus has a finite size.
