Yes there will be energy corrections. The electron charges stay outside the nucleus, but this does not mean that the magnetic field created by these charges cannot go into the nucleus. These magnetic fields inside the nucleus create the energy corrections from the Bohr-Weisskopf effect due to the finite size.
