From the formula on slide 6 we have: mu operator = mu/(I hbar) I operator = g mu_N / hbar I operator so g = mu / (I mu_N).
a) 111 Cd
From the database we find for the ground state energy: I = +1/2 and mu = -0.59403 mu_N. We put this in the formula and get g = -1.1881. g is dimensionless.
For the 245 keV level we have I = + 2/5 and mu = -0.7663 mu_N so we get g = -0.3065.
b) Free electron
We have I = +1/2 and mu = 1 mu_N so we get g = 2.
c) Free neutron
We have I = +1/2 and g = -3.826 so we get mu = -1.913 mu_N.
