    “The derivative spectra are characterized by those places where the first derivative of the absorption spectrum has its extreme values. In EPR spectra of simple S = ½ systems there are maximally 3 such places which correspond with the g-factors.” (p.11)

    Why are there 3 places, not more? Where does these 3 peaks (in absorption spectrum) come from?

    Additional questions:
    • Why no L.S-term in spin-orbit coupling? (p. 4)
    • What is the advantage of using a powder spectrum? (p. 7-8)
