    (2S+1)L(J), so:

    * (2)D(3/2):
    – 2S+1 = 2 –> S = 1/2
    – L = 2
    – J = 3/2
    –> g=0.8
    (I think this is also the ground state of the La atom when in metal)

    *(2)D(5/2):
    – 2S+1 = 2 –> S = 1/2
    – L = 2
    – J = 5/2
    –> g=1.2
