    1. What we measure in PAC are nuclear decays. It is known that nuclear decay is an exponential process, meaning that the farther you go in time, there will be an exponential decline in the number of decays.

    2. This has to do with the orientation of the nuclei relative to the direction of the detector. As we saw, the probability of detection of decay will vary with the relative orientation.
