We can know that the nucleus has 3 possible spin orientations (mi=+1,0,-1), and that the hyperfine interactions lead to a system in which mi=+1 is the most energetically favorable spin orientation, mi=0 the second and mi=-1 is the third and less favorable one.
At low temperature, all nuclear spins will be found in the lowest energy level, so that mean they will be at mi=+1, which lead to a system with oriented nuclear ensemble in the z axis, as a vertical orientation, pointing up.
