At the beginning of page 8, its says “only the magnetic moments
from the sample in the direction of the external field (to be more precise: perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field created by the microwaves) are detected”.I don’t know why that happens. Is there some relation in the absorption coefficient between photon and electron magnetic moment orientation?
