In the session about magnetic hyperfine interaction, we’ve seen that the energy of a spin depends on the relative orientation of the nuclear spin with the applied magnetic field. The lowest energy level is when the nuclear spin is parallel and in the same direction as the applied field. I am not sure whether this can be used to solve the problem here.
