I would say the electron is like a ball that is in a different location every time I look back after looking away. Usually it is somewhere on a sphere a certain radius away from me but sometimes further and sometimes it is even inside me. If I average all these postions due to the spherical symmetry it would be inside me, but if I would average only radius it would be on a sphere some distance away from me.
