Imagine that you live in a country that looks like a circle. Your home is on the border of the circle, where you spent more of your time. However, every weekend you travel to a different place in the country since you love to travel. The relation of the electrons and the nucleus is the same. Most of the time, the electrons remain in one part of the circle, but they also spent some part of their time in other places.
