    When looking out you see the electron as a cloud. It does not matter in which direction you look, up, down, right, left, etc. everywhere you see the electron. However, you never see it as a point or a ball, just a fuzzy image. It is not directly in front of your face, but also not extremely far. You can imagine it as standing in a fog.
