    1) We can know this from the equation. Because we know when parameter n is 0,that it has axial symmetry. And the only case when its zero when Vxx and Vyy is equal. So from equation we can compare Vxx and Vyy.

    2)I am not really sure,but I think from visual inspection we can conclude that we’ll have axial symmetry when dipole representing nucleus lies parallel to the z axis.
