    If the nucleus becomes smaller with respect to electron cloud (so l smaller with respect to d), then the monopole contribution stays the same, but the quadrupole contribution becomes much smaller.
    On the graphs it seems like the shape of the quadrupole contribution doesn’t change, but that is just due to the scaling of the vertical axis. If l becomes smaller, the quadrupole contributions has smaller deviations from the monopole contribution, although the “shape” (the theta dependency) of the quadrupole contribution stays the same.
