    The quadrupole term appears to be way smaller in relation to the monopole term if the nucleus is smaller. This makes sense, since a deviation from spherical symmetry has less effect for a smaller object. This means that the monopole plus quadrupole sum is even a better approximation of reality for a small nucleus in relation to a large nucleus than appears in the figures.
