    When pointing in the opposite direction, the momenta interfere destructively, so J=0.
    When perpendicular to each other, the total momentum is the vector sum, which is equal to one because of quantization rules. J=1.
    When parallel and in the same direction, the momenta interfere constructively, so J=2.
