    By looking at the tensor in its PAS, we see that the 11 and 22 components are the same, meaning that we have axial symmetry around the z-axis. This can also be seen from the picture since we can rotate the two electrons around the z-axis. Doing this changes nothing about the geometry of the system, meaning that the electric field gradient doesn’t change and we have again this axial symmetry.
