This chapter assumes you are familiar with the double slit experiment and to some extent with the concepts of amplitude, probability and intensity. If you aren’t, have a look at the Refresher’s section first. If you studied the module on Mössbauer spectroscopy first, you have the necessary background. A short summary of the Mössbauer module follows hereafter.
